The initial application deadline for mobile sportsbook operators hoping to bring their services to Maryland has passed. The Sports Wagering Application Review Committee (SWARC) will now have up to 45 days to review each application and distribute licenses.

Some Maryland online sportsbooks are already announcing bonuses and pre-launch offers for bettors to take advantage of, and this page will keep you up to date with all of them. Here are the current Maryland sportsbook bonuses and how to claim them.

Maryland Sportsbook Pre-Launch Offers

Maryland bettors can currently claim $300 in free bets from the top two online sportsbooks in DraftKings and FanDuel. More sportsbook apps will surely have pre-launch offers in the coming weeks as we get closer to the launch of online sports betting in the Old Line State.

DraftKings Maryland

New users can claim $200 in free bets as well as a sweepstakes entry for a $100,000 free bet by signing up with our exclusive DraftKings promo link.

There is no DraftKings Maryland promo code needed and the free bets will be deposited as eight $25 bets. For the free bets to have cash value, you must win your wager and playthrough the wager amount once.

This early sign-up promotion ends at midnight on the first day DraftKings is allowed to accept wagers.

In addition to the pre-launch offer, new users will also be able to claim the standard DraftKings welcome offer of a $50 free bet and 20% deposit match up to $1,000.

FanDuel Maryland

Not to be outdone by its main competitor, FanDuel also has a no deposit pre-launch offer for bettors in the Old Line State. New FanDuel MD users who sign up with our exclusive link will receive $100 in free bets.

You can split the $100 across as many wagers as you’d like, but they will expire if not used. Similar to DraftKings, there is a one-time playthrough requirement for your winnings to be able to be withdrawn as cash.

New users will be able to claim FanDuel’s standard welcome offer as well, which at the time is a $1,000 no sweat first bet. If the first bet you place with FanDuel results in a loss, 100% of your wager will be matched as a free bet with a maximum value of $1,000. FanDuel can always choose to switch its offer specifically for the Maryland launch.

More Online Sportsbooks Expected to Launch in Maryland

Although SWARC has yet to release the names of the 10 sportsbooks that have applied for a license in Maryland, we can confidently guess seven of them to match the seven retail sportsbooks currently operating in the state. More details will be coming at SWARC’s next meeting on Nov. 21.

  • FanDuel Sportsbook (Live! Casino and Hotel)
  • Caesars Sportsbook (Horseshoe Casino Baltimore)
  • BetRivers (Bingo World Baltimore)
  • BetMGM (MGM National Harbor)
  • PointsBet (Riverboat on the Potomac)
  • TwinSpires (Ocean Downs Casino)
  • Barstool (Hollywood Casino Perryville)

Considering Maryland’s sports betting law allows for up to 60 mobile apps at full maturity, there’s no shortage of potential apps coming to the state. Other potential applicants could include platforms such as Betfred, WynnBET, bet365, and Bally Bet.
