There has been a flurry of positive movement recently to bring online sports betting to Maryland by the end of the year which means DraftKings Sportsbook is coming soon. Those in charge of Maryland sports betting have decided to allow online sportsbooks to launch on a rolling basis which will speed up the availability of mobile apps in the state. New users can start signing up now prior to the official launch later this year.
DraftKings Maryland is the first Maryland Sports Betting App to start accepting signups from sports fans. Visit DraftKings Maryland now for details.
What To Expect From DraftKings Maryland
From special offers like the DraftKings Maryland Promo Code, exciting in-app features, and more, DraftKings will bring a ton of opportunities to the Maryland betting market. With some of the industry’s top names expected to plant their flags in the state once online gambling launches, these features may keep DraftKings in bettors’ minds when deciding which platform to use.
Here is what to expect from DraftKings Sportsbook Maryland when it launches.
Several Generous Maryland Bonus Offers From DraftKings
One of the most notable aspects of DraftKings is the special offer it provides to new users.
DraftKings is offering new members a free bet of $50 if they make a deposit of $5 or more. This is one of the most gracious promos offered by any online sportsbook, and it’s more than optimal for new users, as they are able to get their feet wet in betting with DraftKings without risking their money during the first go-around.
The platform also offers a 20% deposit match bonus up to $1,000, so once Maryland launches mobile sports betting, residents will be able to register with DraftKings and take advantage of all of these offers.
DraftKings also has ongoing promotions for existing users, which means the bonuses don’t stop after your initial new user promo. It’s always a good idea to check out the app on the day of big sporting events and with plenty of sports in full swing, you can be sure to find something exciting.
TONS OF IN-APP FEATURES
Once mobile betting goes live in Maryland, residents will be able to make use of DraftKings Sportsbook’s app and everything it has to offer.
With the DraftKings Sportsbook Maryland app, bettors are able to access features like information on their history with the platform, live betting, special offers and bonuses, and much more. They can access odds across numerous sports, daily promotions, and other features DraftKings provides through the app, so there shouldn’t be any reason for bettors to feel dissatisfied when choosing the app over its retail counterpart.
Getting started with the app is easy, too. All users have to do is find it on either the App or Google Play Store and download it. Then, they can create an account, make a deposit, and start making wagers.
POSSIBLE PARTNERSHIP WITH PHYSICAL VENUE
Unlike some other major sportsbooks, DraftKings doesn’t currently have a retail sportsbook in Maryland.
While the BetMGM Sportsbook operates at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, FanDuel is active at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland in Hanover, and Caesars has a brick-and-mortar sportsbook at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore, DraftKings doesn’t hold a physical presence in the state. That could change, however.
Depending on the type of license DraftKings applies for in Maryland, it could be required to partner with a brick-and-mortar casino or other physical betting venue, so there’s a possibility that both mobile and physical DraftKings platforms could pop up in the state in the future.
Expansion is certainly no issue for DraftKings, either. The company has taken far greater lengths to expand than simply partnering with a physical casino; DraftKings even recently announced it agreed to a deal with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation to progress in their relationship and work toward setting up shop in Puerto Rico.
LAUNCH DATE STILL UNCLEAR
While there has been a recent push to get online sports betting up and running in the state, we don’t have an exact date yet. All signs point to mobile wagering being available by the end of the year, however. With the agencies overseeing sports betting awarding licenses on a rolling basis, there’s also no indication of which apps will be the first to launch.
While fans have been waiting to get action on their favorite teams and leagues without having to travel to a retail sportsbook, once mobile betting launches, there will be plenty of opportunities and choices on how to bet and who to bet with, as the top sports gambling platforms are expected to offer their services in Maryland once able. Maryland’s sports betting law allows for a total of 60 mobile sports betting apps.
The market in Maryland has already been proven. Bettors put down more than $16 million in just the opening month of retail sports gambling, and betting operators in Maryland are certainly ready for mobile betting to get off the ground.
“Nearly 90 percent of the wagering that goes on in the jurisdiction is mobile and while we’ve had a great start with our land-based systems, you can tell we’re very excited about the prospect mobile wagering can provide us,” Maryland Lottery Director John Martin told Fox 5.
