Today is the last day of the 90-day General Assembly session – if lawmakers pass a budget. But there are plenty of other issues remaining on the table including windpower, the flush tax and the next moves for gambling in Maryland; in the meantime, lawmakers agreed on a slight hike in the income tax rate for high earners; the public-private partnership moves forward; House OKs $1.2 million to the owner of an Eastern Shore racetrack and casino while Senate approves allowing voters to decide on Prince George’s casino; flush fee doubles and septic bill moves forward; Del. McConkey promotes bill that would benefit him; and PSC warns prom-goers on renting unlicensed limos.
