The petition drive to repeal Maryland’s same-sex marriage law — which will be signed by Gov. Martin O’Malley today — is underway. Duane Keenan filed this podcast talking to organizers of the petition drive, headed up by the Maryland Marriage Alliance and backed by Del. Neil Parrott’s group MDPetitions.com.

    Thank you for heading this petition drive up. It is a shame that our legislators do the opposite of what the people want. Now we all need to rise up as the patriots that we are and set the record straight. This state does not support gay marriage. So let the people use the vote to prove it. I for one am sick and tired of radical left wingers hijacking this state and making it another Vermont where anything goes and there is no respect for decent people, for families, for children and preserving their innocence and sensibilities. The fight is on! And your crappy legislation is going down!

      Funny Linda, if you just change the next to last sentence to ‘I for one am sick and tired of radical RIGHT wingers hijacking this state…’ we could agree with you.

      Time to get on with your life and let loving partners commit. However, after sixteen years of being married ‘same sex’ is what it boils down to!
