Scores of honking cabs from BWI Airport circled the State House Tuesday morning in protest of the possible awarding of an exclusive contract to Dulles Airport Taxi that might cost many of them their jobs.
The Board of Public Works, which meets Wednesday in the governor’s reception room, has two options on the table. One would award the contract to the Dulles operator, who has had labor problems in the past. The other would simply extend the current contract, with BWI Taxi Management, for up to a year. The current contract expires on July 1.
