This is going to create 4,400 jobs in the area, which will be in the area Cecil County, Sparrows Point and Baltimore. Indeed, Amazon is going to create 100,000 jobs nationwide.
In addition, Amazon is offering incentives to new employees. However, it is not clear whether this is going to apply to jobs in Maryland. This can include sign-on bonuses that can be up to $1,000. It is estimated that Amazon welcomes 215 million shoppers online every month. The company will have experienced a surge in sales with more people having access to mobile internet.
