Audio: Gaming expansion criticized and major changes to pit bull legislation

Listen to this article

Duane Keenan filed this audio report on the two major issues moving to the House floor today, gambling expansion and liability for dog bites.

Before the House Ways and Means Committee voted to lower the taxes for casinos in Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City, he talked to Baltimore County Democratic Del. Emmett Burns and House Minority Leader Tony O’Donnell.

The House Judiciary Committee heavily amended its own legislation on dog bites, and Del. Luiz Simmons explained the action on the bill.

If the whole House passes the amended version, the Senate will need to act on the measure, which is very different from the one it passed Friday.
