Hogan: Offshore wind development is an ‘absolute game-changer’

The plan is for the wind farm to be built on an 88,000-acre parcel of land US Wind acquired in 2014. The steel for the wind turbines will be built at Sparrows Point, formerly the home of Bethlehem Steel. In total, the project is expected to generate 1,200 megawatts of electricity.

There are so many billions of bad snapshots taken by smart phones and dumb photographers that we forget what it was like barely 40 years ago and the century before that, when black-and-white photography on film and plate developed into a high art. That world also had many jobs and trades that are now long gone. We are transported again into those forgotten crafts with the new book of Aubrey Bodine’s old photographs called “Bodine’s Industry — the Dignity of Work.”
