As far as anyone can tell, Ancient Mesopotamia was home to our earliest known psychics. At this time, they used the stars, the sun, and the moon to acquire knowledge about the past, present, and future. Since then, psychics, and various types of them, have come to pass all over the world. As an umbrella term these types of psychics practice different forms of what is now called “divination.”
Divination is the use of supernatural means to acquire information. You are likely familiar with more types of divination than you think. To name a few:
Cartomancy – The use of tarot or other cards
Rune Casting – The use of runic symbols, usually on stone or paper
Scrying – This is gazing deeply, think a crystal ball!
Pyromancy – Fire gazing
Psychometry – The intuitive reading of objects
Tasseomancy – Reading tea leaves
Palmistry – Palm reading
Numerology – The use of various number combinations and associations
Intuitive Psychic Readings – Claimed by different psychics to have different origins such as God, Angels, the Higher Self, etc.
There are plenty of other methods, and surely some unique ones to be found in cultures we don’t quite yet understand. And yet, the notable thing is, that no matter where you are from, psychics are sought out for a reason.
Whether you have an ongoing or upcoming life event, a new love interest, a lost loved one, or even a general sense of unease, you may wish to seek out the help of a psychic. There are no “bad” reasons for seeking out a psychic, if you feel drawn to do so then you most definitely should.
Once you have decided that you would like to find a psychic for yourself, you will find yourself wondering where you might find one. In modern times, you may find the occasional palm reading psychic working out of their home.
However, many psychics may be found online. In recent years the online market for psychics has grown like wildfire, and with the help of any internet capable device, you can find the right psychic for you!
There are a number of psychic websites to choose from. Some even offer subscriptions (and are we not a subscription society now?)!
Now you are left with the challenge of finding the right website or platform on which to find your perfect psychic. There are a number of factors you may want to consider before choosing such as free trials, record, payment methods, specializations, and a few other key things.
Free Trial
Just like with any online service, who doesn’t love a free trial? It’s much easier to shop around when you have this option. When doing your research on varying platforms, see what kind of free trial they offer.
Some psychic websites may have a free trial, but they could have introductory offers too. Usually, you’ll find these at the top of the screen or as fun little pop-up ads.
Record and Reviews
If you’ve learned anything on the internet, hopefully, it’s that you should always read the reviews. No one wants to order a couch for their living room and receive one for a dollhouse instead, right? The same logic applies here, this is your future we are talking about! When choosing the right psychic for you, doing your research is of the utmost importance.
One of the easiest ways to begin is by looking at the reviews for the top sites on your search engine. Read through some reviews, and look for information not just about the psychics, but the website specifically.
Do they have good customer service? Do they have a high amount of returning clients? Another factor to consider when checking out a site, is how long they have been around? A longstanding relationship with the public is a really great way to show a positive impact, look for that!
Payment Methods
This may not be a problem for everyone, but for some, discretion is important. Maybe you don’t want your boyfriend to know that you’re paying a psychic to find out if he is ever going to get around to proposing. Because of this you may want to pay with an alternative payment method like crypto, PayPal, or gift cards, a carrier pigeon with a satchel of coins… Or whatever.
If this is something important to you, be sure to investigate what payment methods the sites you are interested in receive. This is also a good time to see if the payment requirements are sketchy at all. It’s like double research!
Specialization
In the beginning of the article, several types of divination were mentioned. The specifications can get even more… well, specific! Some psychics might specialize in love, some in business, some in finance, and the list goes on. Consider how you would like your reading (what type of divination is it?), and then consider what this reading is generally for?
Don’t worry if you don’t have any exact “purpose” for your reading. There are plenty of general psychics who will be able to help you!
Beyond how they read, or what topics they read, consider what resources these websites or individual psychics might offer; Do they offer any sort of cleansing? Do they offer any spell casting? Do they offer follow up calls even just to check in?
If you aren’t quite sure what your needs are, that’s okay. Be sure to check out the FAQ section on the websites for helpful information that you may have not thought of just yet!
Ethics and Transparency
As you might guess, there is some question around the efficacy of psychics. If you have found your way here though, I’m guessing you’re already a believer, or willing to be persuaded. Regardless if you are a believer or not, there are plenty of people who call psychics a scam, and as a result, some scammers have definitely created a psychic platform on the internet! I mean, I guess if you can’t beat them, join them?
One thing you might consider is how transparent a site is in how it sources its psychic talent. Do the psychics apply or do they find them? Is there any information on their site on how they might deal with an unruly psychic? – It’s not clear what makes a psychic unruly but… Do you really want to find out?
Beyond general transparency, you might want to consider any reviews of unsatisfied customers. Is there any response from the website? Is there any indication that it was made right? Check out any policies regarding customer satisfaction. In the end, this is still a service that you are paying for.
Be sure that if you don’t get what you paid for that you can get what you’re owed. . . That’s like… Online buying 101. If a website isn’t willing to help you if things don’t quite meet expectations, then they probably are not the best company to be working with.
Other Aspects
Although it seems at this point you have investigated and researched the absolute heck out of psychic websites… There is more yet you might consider:
- Consider if the website is user friendly. Maybe it has an app, or maybe it has a user-friendly dashboard. Whatever it is that makes a website or online service appealing to you, be on the lookout for that.
- Payment method was mentioned, but what’s more important? How much does it actually cost?! Some sites offer by the minute prices, others do hourly, or by appointment. Find out how much your reading may cost on different platforms.
- Speaking of costs… Are there any discounts available? It is understandable that high quality content often comes at a high-quality cost. Many psychic websites regularly run promotions or welcome deals. If you have found a site you are partial to, but it’s a bit too pricey, see what kind of deals they offer.
- Most of these sites allow you to choose your own psychic. It’s worth exploring some individual pages. See what kind of psychics can be found on the website, what types of readings they offer, and more importantly how are the psychics portrayed. Look for detailed profiles with customer reviews, photos that may seem more recent, a personable “about me” section, etc. Be sure that the psychics available on a given site actually appeal to you!
- Whatever is important to you. There is no better way to put this, but if there is something specific that is important to you in a psychic or psychic site, ensure that whichever you choose is able to accommodate that.
